CrowdSpark uses recency: every validated payment takes #1, previous entries drop, and there is an escalating $1 floor. outbid.lol-style boards use cumulative bidding: you can top up your existing entry, and your rank equals your total bid amount. Different models for different use cases.

How Does CrowdSpark Ranking Work?

CrowdSpark uses a recency model with an escalating floor:

  • Every successful payment creates a new entry
  • The newest payment always takes #1
  • Previous #1 drops to #2, previous #2 drops to #3, etc.
  • Empty board: $1 takes #1
  • After that: minimum is current #1's amount + $1
  • All entries stay on the board permanently

How Does Cumulative Bidding Work?

Boards like outbid.lol, biddr.lol, and rankr.lol use cumulative bidding:

  • You have one entry that you can "top up"
  • Your rank equals your total cumulative bid amount
  • If you're at #3 and want #1, you pay the difference
  • Your entry position changes but the entry itself stays the same
  • Rankings are sorted by total bid, not recency
