What Happens When Someone Takes Over Your Slot

Your content comes down, you get site credit equal to what you paid, your name stays in history, and you can take another slot.

What changes on the grid

Their name, link, and note replace yours on the tile and on the slot page. There is no minimum hold time.

The credit you get

You receive site credit equal to what you paid for that slot. Example: you paid $9; the next owner paid $12; retaking costs $15 (ceil(12 × 1.25)). With $9 credit you would pay $6 by card.

Your name in owner history

Your display name stays on the slot's history timeline (unless moderation masks it).

Taking it back, or picking another slot

Spend credit toward any open or owned slot, including the one you just lost. One account may hold up to 5 slots.

Two people checking out at once

The first checkout gets a 10-minute lock. A late payment that loses the race is refunded automatically on the card portion; any credits applied are returned.

Getting notified

We email the displaced owner at the account address. Details stay in your account credits ledger too.
